…It’s Here

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Months in the making, hours of sleepless nights, hundreds of video clips to edit, a wedding party willing to utterly humiliate themselves for the sake (and love) of ArinSquared, and 10 hours of upload time to Youtube….all lead to this moment….

The result….18m55s of this…our Phase III video submission.

Yes, I know, almost 20 mins long.  But seriously, come on…in the big picture of how long you have endured this competition along with us….20 mins? that’s easy freakin peasy!

We were given the task of making a video for Phase III…but, as you may have already known or found out, ArinSquared always try to think outside the box.

Making videos when we could have just blogged our earlier submissions means that on a task that where we were specifically asked to create a vid; ArinSquared knew that we had to do something…well..uh…special.

Friends and Family + Great Music + Prizes + Booze = One Helluva Stag & Doe

…wow.

What a night. For those of you living under a rock, this past Saturday, we held our Stag & Doe. To say we were overwhlemed by the turnout would be a huge understatement. Erin and I are truly blessed to have all of you in our lives…

Hey everyone!

We just wanted to let all of our favourite followers know that we made it into PHASE III!! We couldn’t have done it with out all of your comments, likes, and reads 🙂

There is one more post that Aaron and I are currently working on that we will be posting by Saturday…it’s due Sunday, but given that we will probably be feeling a little under the weather from our Stag and Doe (plug: Saturday, April 21st, 7pm at CAW HALL…BE THERE), so we best get it done early!

Keep checking back, we promise this will be one for the books. Next Monday we will find out what Phase III has in store for us, but if it has anything to do with awesome people like you following our awesome wedding…we’ll be a shoe-in!

Thank you for all of your help, seriously. We will die of excitement if we win this thing…well, maybe not die, but you know what we mean 🙂

As Phase II comes to an end (like tomorrow!!!!), we’d like to thank you all so much for all of your support and kind words for us over these last 2 months. We couldn’t be more appreciative of your time and encouragement. We are truly blessed to be so loved and supported throughout this contest. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

A very special Easter…

This Easter has been more special than any I can remember. As many of you know, in December, Aaron and I became an aunt and uncle for the first time to our nephew, Garrett. He has changed our English family in ways that only babies can. There’s a new lightness and happiness in our family. He’s brought love and joy in a whole new way this year and reminded us of all the love we have for each other.

Being right in the thick of wedding planning, I saw this video and laughed pretty hard. Maybe you have to be a bride, bridesmaid or have helped to plan weddings to really get the humour in it, but seriously…I couldn’t have stereotyped brides (myself included) better.

Our furry friends…

We have had a chance to introduce ourselves a bit, and our wedding party, but now it’s time for you to meet two very important members of our family, our cats….

Challenge – Introduce the Wedding Party

Our first challenge of Phase II was to introduce the amazing individuals that will be standing along side of us on our special day.  We were to be as creative as possible.  We chose to have each member of the party videotape themselves (via iPhone, Camera, Webcam, etc) and answer the following questions:

1. Who are you and what is your role?
2. Why were you chosen?
3. How will you make our wedding “one for the books“?

What we got back was…well….this:
