One LOVE…

A night of fun for a great cause 🙂

By the title of our blog, you may have inferred (our current big word in grade 4) that we were going to write about the Hootie and the Blowfish song, “One Love”, or maybe Bob Marley’s popular hit “One Love”, or even U2s #1 song “One (love)”…at least those are a few of the songs I sang to Aaron while we thought of a catchy title…but no, we are blogging about our awesome night! Woot, woot!  Last night, Aaron and I made our way to Port Credit to support our friend and bridesmaid, Erin McBride (known as McB, it gets a little crazy with 3 Erins) with her fundraiser “Show’em More Love”. Every year, McB runs a fundraiser around this time in support of charities that she holds dear to her heart. She is an inspiring friend, who puts so much time, love and energy into raising a whole lotta money for a very good cause. This year the money raised will be going towards an Orphanage in Romania. McB will be heading to Romania after our wedding to volunteer at the summer camps and spend time with the kids from the orphanage. Aaron and I are very fortunate as we have both had the opportunity to do volunteer trips abroad, myself to Capetown, South Africa and Windhoek, Namibia (hopefully our honeymoon destination) and Aaron to Port-au-Prince/Cape Haitien, Haiti. We share in McB’s passion and need for volunteering abroad and are in awe of all of her hard work and time spent on such a worthy cause. We are so proud of you McB, we had a great time last night helping out. You TOTALLY rocked it!
